Het doel is om een prototype van een textielgebaseerde externe prothese (iPAD) te ontwikkelen die toelaat de phallus van transmannen voldoende rigide te maken om seksuele penetratie mogelijk te maken, een patentaanvraag in te dienen op basis van dit prototype, en diverse valorisatiepaden te onderzoeken met een primaire focus op licentiëring. FTILab+ brengt hierbij zijn expertise in in materiaalkennis, ontwerp, productie, comfort en digitale textielprinttechnieken.

The goal is to develop a prototype textile-based external prosthesis (iPAD) that allows the phallus of transmen to be sufficiently rigid to allow sexual penetration, file a patent application based on this prototype, and explore various valorization paths with a primary focus on licensing. FTILab+ brings to this effort its expertise in material knowledge, design, manufacturing, comfort and digital textile printing techniques.
