Sustainably wet processed hemp an flax into cottonised fibre, suitable for textile and non-woven industry

In het O&O-project SWIFT doen vlas- en hennepverwerker Jos Vanneste, FTILab+ (HOGENT) en STEN (UGent) onderzoek naar duurzame natte voorbehandelingen van korte hennep- en vlasvezels, met het oog op de toepassing van de vezels in hoogwaardige textielproducten (o.a. kledij, non-wovens voor hygiënische en medische consumables).

In the SWIFT R&D project, flax and hemp processor Jos Vanneste, FTILab+ (HOGENT) and STEN (UGent) are conducting research into sustainable wet pre-treatments for short hemp and flax fibres, with a view to using the fibres in high-quality textile products (including clothing and non-wovens for hygienic and medical consumables).
