We aim to reduce the use of single-use cups and bottles among students at QNU and normalize reuse. Based on surveys, observations, and short interviews, we identify motivators (health, sustainability, campus pride) and barriers (portability on motorbikes, washing facilities, habit) and translate these into a set of formulated campus interventions. Planned interventions include: phased elimination/ban of disposables in canteens with a deposit system for reusable cups; nudges and visual cues at high-traffic points using social proof and visible role models; onboarding with a reusable bottle/cup at enrollment; and emotional messaging focused on nature and wildlife.
