Co-creatie in beeld: Een ontmoeting tussen professionals en ervaringswerkers in drie zorgsectoren
Centraal staat de vraag hoe co-creatie van kennis tussen ervaringswerkers en professionals actueel vorm krijgt en verder kan worden vorm gegeven in de zorg-, hulp- en dienstverlening aan mensen in maatschappelijk kwetsbare leefsituaties. Hiervoor wordt er vertrokken vanuit een aantal cases in drie zorgsectoren: de geestelijke gezondheidszorg, de verslavingszorg en de jeugdhulp. In elke case studie zullen ervaringswerkers en professionals samen aan de slag gaan als onderzoeksteam. Op die manier fungeert het project als een community of practice, waarbij verschillende stakeholders zich engageren in een collectief leerproces, met een focus op co-creatie van kennis. Photovoice, een visueel-etnografische methode zal gebruikt worden als artistieke methode om het proces van co-creatie in beeld te brengen. De valorisatie zal gebeuren via verschillende innovatieve disseminatietechnieken, namelijk: (1) een handboek rond de implementatie van ervaringsdeskundigheid, vertrekkende vanuit de principes van co-creatie, (2) een vorming rond co-creatie tussen professionals en ervaringsdeskundigen in de betrokken sectoren (met aandacht voor sectoroverschrijdende en sectorspecifieke aspecten) en tenslotte (3) een fototentoonstelling als sensibiliseringscampagne omtrent de kennis en sterktes van ervaringswerkers in relatie tot professionele kennis.
Co-creation in focus: A meeting of professionals and experience workers in three care sectors
In recent years there has been increasing policy attention to the use of expertise by experience, with a focus on innovative care and support. This research proposal addresses the issue of shared responsibility between workers by experience and professionals as a prerequisite for quality care, assistance and services. From the observation that professional knowledge is often valued more than experiential knowledge, a shared ownership between workers by experience and professionals still seems far away. The central question is how co-creation of knowledge between workers by experience and professionals can be given shape and further developed in the care, assistance and services to people in socially vulnerable situations. The starting point for this is a number of case studies in three care sectors: mental health care, addiction care and youth care. In each case study, workers by experience and professionals will work together as a research team. In this way, the project functions as a community of practice, engaging different stakeholders in a collective learning process, with a focus on co-creation of knowledge. Photovoice, a visual-ethnographic method will be used as an artistic method to visualize the process of co-creation. The valorization will be done through different innovative dissemination techniques, namely: (1) a handbook on the implementation of expertise by experience, starting from the principles of co-creation, (2) a training around co-creation between professionals and experts by experience in the sectors involved (with attention to cross-sectoral and sector-specific aspects) and finally (3) a photo exhibition as awareness-raising campaign about the knowledge and strengths of workers by experience in relation to professional knowledge.
