INNOVatie van beleidsinstrumenten voor behoud, transformatie en exploitatie van erfgoedkastelen, landhuizen en tuinen

Historische kastelen, landhuizen en landgoederen (HCME), die meestal in landelijke en afgelegen gebieden liggen, hebben het potentieel om landelijke en regionale ontwikkeling en innovatie te stimuleren. Hiervoor is echter een paradigmaverschuiving nodig op het gebied van bestuur en ondersteuning.
Door nieuwe beleidsinstrumenten te ontwikkelen om deze bezittingen te ontsluiten, kunnen HCME fungeren als motor voor het creëren van banen, beter onderwijs, het verbeteren van de levenskwaliteit en het verminderen van sociale ongelijkheid. Het partnerschap van Innocastle bestaat uit vier Europese regio's die elk één beleidsinstrument aanpakken: Het Nationaal Instituut voor Erfgoed in Roemenië, de provincie Gelderland in Nederland, de Hogeschool Gent in België en de provinciale regering van Badajoz in Spanje. National Trust uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk zal gedurende het hele proces optreden als kennispartner en alle partners ondersteunen bij het remodelleren van hun beleid.

INNOvating policy instruments for preservation transformation and exploitation of heritage CASTLEs manors and gardens

Mostly located in rural and remote areas, historic castles, manors and estates (HCME) have the potential to stimulate rural and regional development and innovation. However, this requires a shift of paradigm in governance and support.
By developing new policy instruments to unlock these assets, HCME could act as drivers for job creation, better education, improving life quality and reducing social inequalities. The partnership of Innocastle consists of four European regions, each addressing one policy instrument: The National Institute of Heritage in Romania, the Province of Gelderland in the Netherlands, University College Ghent in Belgium and the Provincial Government of Badajoz in Spain. National Trust from the UK will act as knowledge partner throughout the process and support all partners in remodeling their policies.
