Sociaal-circulaire Hub Gent - fase 3

In Gent zijn tal van (burger)organisaties actief in de circulaire economie: van foodsavers en repair cafés tot deelplatformen als Peerby. Het bestuursakkoord van 2019-2024 van de Stad Gent zet sterk in op circulaire economie en de Stad wil zelf circulaire pilootprojecten opstarten. Ook de Gentse sociale economie wil inzetten op circulair ondernemerschap omdat dit aansluit bij hun waardenkader en om nieuwe jobs te creëren op maat van de doelgroep. Deze initiatieven ontstaan momenteel echter vrij geïsoleerd, er is weinig sprake van kennisdeling en onderlinge samenwerking.
Via de creatie van een hub kunnen bruggen gebouwd worden tussen de circulaire en sociale economie en tussen circulaire ondernemers (en eventueel particulieren) onderling. De hub kan zorgen voor kennisdeling en deling van ervaringen, goede zowel als minder goede, tussen sectoren en over verschillende sectoren heen. Nieuwe ideeën kunnen draagvlak krijgen en nieuwe initiatieven kunnen worden opgericht. Zowel technische know-how als concrete werkafspraken kunnen bijdragen tot meer concrete samenwerking.

Social Circular Hub Ghent - stage 3

In Ghent, numerous (civic) organizations are active in the circular economy: from food savers and repair cafes to sharing platforms such as Peerby. The 2019-2024 administrative agreement of the City of Ghent puts a strong emphasis on circular economy and the City wants to start its own circular pilot projects. Ghent's social economy also wants to bet on circular entrepreneurship because it fits their value framework and to create new jobs tailored to the target group. However, these initiatives currently arise in rather isolation, with little knowledge sharing and mutual cooperation.
Through the creation of a hub, bridges can be built between the circular and social economy and between circular entrepreneurs (and possibly individuals) themselves. The hub can provide knowledge sharing and sharing of experiences, both good and less good, between sectors and across sectors. New ideas can gain support and new initiatives can be established. Both technical know-how and concrete working agreements can contribute to more concrete cooperation.
