This research focuses on a generalist or integrative HR perspective, examining how different sub-domains of HR are aligned. Here, HR is ideally seen as a strategic partner, helping to ensure that an integrative HR policy is aligned with other organisational processes. The war for talent is raging, and companies are finding it increasingly difficult to attract and retain talented people. On top of this, we see SMEs experiencing difficulties in ensuring the well-being of their employees. One of the tools that can help with this is setting up a consistent HR perspective. The science provides much support for the positive implications of such an integrative perspective and its effects on employee well-being. However, there is a need to translate numerous scientific insights into practice, with the main aim of helping organisations increase employee well-being. We aim to practically translate the scientific insights tailored to SMEs so that they can quickly get to work developing a consistent organisational environment.
