AEROTHERM: Aero- and thermoregulation for advanced textiles in sports applications

In this project new textiles will be developed for advanced aerodynamics and thermoregulation for cycling. A new joint measurement platform in the cycling windtunnel in Beringen (Belgium) will be built to perform simultaneous aerodynamic and thermoregulation measurements. The potential solutions will be modelled by design of experiments and mathematical models allowing to create insights in aerodynamics and thermoregulation on microstructural level. With the new textiles a patched design of a cycling suit will be created and evaluated.
